India has decided to take de-hoarding measures to tackle rising raw jute prices. The government will take up the matter of ban on export of raw jute by Bangladesh. It will also check the declining trend in jute cultivation. Appropriate long-term measures shall be taken by the State Governments and Department of Agriculture to boost the cultivation.
