Jeera prices are trading firm in key spot markets on robust demand from domestic as well as international markets. Lower than expected production in Syria and Turkey is likely to boost exports from India. Jeera production in Syria and Turkey is expected to fall to 10,000 to 12,000 tonne in 2016-17 from 15,000 and 17,000 tonnes in 2015-16.
