Jeera or cumin seed prices were weak as higher arrivals of the new crop in the major spot markets of Gujarat state. The rains in Gujarat over last few days were reportedly good for the standing crop. Lower sowing area and good export demand are however likely to keep long term sentiments bullish, according to the traders.
