Gujarat and Rajasthan are the principal jeera growing regions in India. Expectation of bumper jeera crop this year due to good weather condition. Jeera is the second-largest exported single spice from India fetching over Rs 1,800 crore last year. Exports are likely to decline by 40-45 per cent during 2015-16 compared to last year.
