Good export demand supported the Jeera cash market in the last week. According to Spices Board of India, Jeera export reported up by 22% during 2016/17 to 119,000 tonnes compared to same period previous year 97,790 tonnes. As per trade information, jeera demand is likely to shift to India due to uncertain supply from other Jeera producing countries like Syria and Turkey to international market.
