As per Gujarat Government 2016/17 Jeera final sowing as on February 6’ 2017 is around 278700 hectares as compared to last year’s 295400 hectares sown at the same time. Average in season area is 339000 hectares in Gujarat in which Kutch contributed 23200 hectares, Saurashtra contributed 134800 hectares and North contributed 108300 hectares.
