From last two years, Guarseed prices are in the grip of bears and its direct impact can be seen in Guar acreages this year. Farmers are shifting to other crops such as Tur and Moong as the cultivation cost for Guar in one acre is around Rs. 5000 and they are able to get a return of around Rs. 3000 only. Last year Guar sown in around 47.86 lakh hectares in Rajasthan.
