As per sources, this year Guarseed sowing is expected to be less by at least 30-40% on subdued demand of guargum from international markets. In 2015-16, Guar gum exports fell to 3.25 lakh metric tonnes due to lower crude oil prices in international markets. In 2014-15, Guargum export from India was around 6.65 lakh metric tonnes.
