As per reports, Guar has been sown in an area of 116700 hectares till 8th August as compared to 145000 hectares sown at the corresponding period last year. Area of guar is expected to be lower this season as farmers are shifting to other remunerative crops such as Pulses. The last three year average normal area of Guar in Gujarat is 378800 hectares.
