The Indian Oilseeds and Produce Export Promotion Council (IOPEC) has projected the groundnut output at 4.33 million tonnes as compared to 5.16 million tonnes last year. Deficient monsoon rain had impacted groundnut sowing, estimated at 3.26 million hectares in 2014 versus 3.64 million hectares in 2013, said the IOPEC Official.
