Higher sowing is reported in Groundnut in Kharif 2016. As per Government reports on 15th July, Groundnut has been sown on 27.93 lakh hectares as compared to 24.33 lakh hectares at the same time last year. As per 4th advance estimates by Gujarat state, Ground nut area was around 14.14 lakh hectares in 2015 and production stands at 20.42 lakh tonnes and Yield is 1444 kg per hectares.
