Gujarat is the major groundnut producing state in India. Traders from Rajkot market said that due to supply shortage and good demand from brands had raised groundnut oil price in last few days. According to the traders, as supply of groundnut is not enough to match the demand, grou-ndnut oil price may further increase in coming days.
