Groundnut harvesting is almost over in the key producing states of India. Gujarat is the key groundnut producing state in India. Groundnut acreage in India is down from the previous year by 7 lakh hectares on account of delayed rains. In Maharashtra area under groundnut crop was declined due to many farmers shifted to soybean.
