Groundnut acreages are up by 25% at 34 lakh hectares as compared to 27.12 lakh hectares sown during the corresponding period of last year. Normal area under Groundnut is 43.79 lakh hectares in the country. Farmers in Gujarat has moved towards Ground nut cultivation this year on better realization from Groundnut in comparison to other crops.
