As per survey by Solvent Extractors Association of India, the Kharif production of groundnut in Gujarat is estimated to jump by more than 96% to 29.40 lakh tons in 2016-17 from 14.95 lakh tons last year. This year area under Groundnut cultivation in the state was up by 3.47 lakh hectares as compared to last year.
