As per Ministry of agriculture, Groundnut sowing is up by more than 16% than the same time of last year. As on June 30, total 9.15 lakh hectares has been sown against 7.84 lakh hectares sown at the corresponding period last year. In Gujarat, largest producer of ground nut, total 3.563 lakh hectares has been sown against 1.082 lakh hectares sown at the same time last year.
