According to the latest data from the Directorate of Oilseeds Development, in the ongoing rabi season, groundnut has been sown on 247,200 hectares across the key producing states of India, down 13.8% from 286,900 hectares a year ago. Indian farmers harvested an estimated 5.02 million tons of groundnut in the kharif season.
