Total production of the cotton across the states of India is estimated at 35.15 million bales (1 bale=170 kgs) is significantly higher (by 2.68 million bales) than the average cotton production of last 5 years, according to the second Advance Estimates released on February 18, 2015 by Department of Agriculture & Cooperation.
