India’s cotton production for this season is estimated to be 40 million bales (170 Kgs each), which is higher than the last year’s cotton production. During the months of November 2014 to January 2015, 70 % of cotton crop, particularly in rain fed areas would have arrived, showing that India is on track to have the bumper crop.
