India became the world’s largest cotton producer last year with an output of 6.51 million tonnes surpassing China’s 6.48 million tonnes. According to the Cotton Corporation of India, transactions at minimum support price level (MSP) will be negligible this year as cotton prices are already firming up both in the domestic and international markets.
