In the major markets of Gujarat state, cotton price were ruled steady to strong on the back of short supply. At Rajkot market, Gujarat Sankar-6 cotton was traded Rs 100 up at Rs 35,000-35,700 for a candy of 356 kilogram. The depreciation of the rupee against dollar has increased the expectation of fresh export demand for cotton.
