In its monthly crop report, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) cut its cotton consumption forecast for China for the current season and the upcoming year which starts in August 2015 due to ‘continued strong competition’ from manmade fiber and imported cotton products. United States cotton prices were showing bearish trend.
