In early sown cotton field, picking of fully opened cotton boll were started in West Vidarbha region of Maharashtra state. Vidarbha is the major cottton producing belt of Maharashtra. Farmers of Vidharbha were cultivating high yielding BT Cotton. BT Cotton varieties are resistance to the incidence of bollworms.
