Global cotton stocks expected to rise by 2,079,000 tonnes in the current season. World cotton production for 2014-15 has been lowered by 89,000 tonnes, primarily owing to reductions in production of India and Uzbekistan. World raw cotton consumption estimate has been raised by 51,000 tonnes for 2014-15 and 45,000 tonnes for 2015-16.
