For FY 2016, India's cotton yarn production is likely to increase by 2% and overall spun yarn production may increase by 3% (cotton yarn production increased by 3.2% in FY2015 and by 9.6% in FY2014),as per rating firm ICRA's latest forecast. ICRA estimates growth in domestic yarn consumption for FY 2016 at 2% (6% in FY 2015).
