Cotton Outlook’s latest forecast of world cotton production and consumption in the 2015-16 suggest a reduction of nearly 600,000 tonnes in world stocks. The world production forecast is reduced by a net figure of 38,000 tonnes, a sharp reduction in China having been largely offset by higher figures for Brazil and some African Franc Zone.
