Cotton crop is reaching towards maturity stage in the key producing states of India. Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh are major cotton producing states. Cotton prices are steady in the major markets of India. Cotton has been sown on 126.55 lakh hectares across the India, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.
