Cotton crop is in vegetative stage in the Tamil Nadu. In the prevailing weather having high cloud cover and humidity there is incidence of leafhopper in cotton. Cotton harvesting is already started in other key producing states. There were reports of sale of cotton in the states of Telangana and Andhra Prades allegedly below the MSP.
