Bearish trend in cotton prices is prevailing in markets of the Maharashtra state. The central government-approved minimum support price (MSP) of cotton Rs 4,050 per quintal for the long staple variety and Rs 3,750 for the medium staple for this season. Cotton Corporation of India, denied any plans of announcing a bonus over the MSP.
