Bangladesh, Vietnam, China and Turkey are major importers of Cotton in 2015/16. Bangladesh imported 6.2 million bales of Cotton in 2015/16. As per USDA, Bangladesh imports are likely to increase to 6.3 million bales in 2016/17 which will increase Bangladesh’s share of global imports to 18% which is more than double its share seen five years ago.
