As per the Cotton Association of India, total [cotton production in the country stood at 34.05 million bales. The carry over stock is around 7 million bales. So total availability till next season will be around 41.05 million bales. The domestic consumption is estimated at 30 million bales, which leaves available surplus at 11.05 million bales.
