As per reports, United States Cotton production is expected to go up by 25% to 16 million bales in the marketing year (beginning August 2016) against 12.9 million bales recorded last season. (US one cotton bales = 220 kg). Mills in the United States consume only 25% of the cotton produced and the rest is exported.
