According to the International Cotton Advisory Committee(ICAC), India’s cotton exports are projected down 50% in 2014-15 to 1 million tons, but could recover partially in 2015-16 to 1.2 million tons. Cotton area in India reached a record 12.3 million hectares in 2014-15, but will likely decrease 5% to 11.6 million hectares in 2015-16.
