According to the Cotton Association of India (CAI), India’s cotton crop output estimate for February stood at 396 lakh bales for the 2014-15 season. This estimate is lower compared to last year due to slight decline in productivity. Cotton prices posted decent gain at the most trading centres across the country on improved demand.
