According to the Central Government, the first tranche of tur dal imports will reach the country this week. India purchases tur mainly from eastern African nations and Myanmar. According to the Consumer Affairs Ministry data, average retail price of tur continues to remain high in New Delhi at Rs 132/kg – up 61 per cent from a year ago.
