The stock of thousands of bags of copra remains unsold with number of farmers in Tamil Nadu especially in Kangeyam, Uthukuli, Vellakoil and Modakurichi areas. The oil crushers are reluctant to buy the copra as they are also having huge stock of coconut oil with them. At Erode market in Tamil Nadu, the copra was sold at Rs 7,000 per quintal.
