Incidence of red palm weevil is seen on the coconut tree in the southern states. In India, Kerala state tops in the area under coconut and it makes up some 37 per cent in area and 26 per cent in production. Coconut production in the Kerala State for 2014-2015 season is likely to improve, according to the Agriculture Expert.
