The production of Chana is estimated to decrease by 2.2 per cent or 16lt to 71.7 lt in 2015-16. The production is revised down from 74.8 lt forecasted in the third advanced estimate in May 2016. In third estimate, the production was pegged higher compared to previous year production mainly due to good weather conditions during harvesting season.
