The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister, hiked the minimum support price (MSP) for chickpea or chana by Rs 75 to Rs 3175 per quintal for the current season ending June. Chickpea crop is in early growth stage in the key producing states. Present cool weather condition is congenial for chana crop growth.
