The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister, hiked the minimum support price (MSP) for chickpea by Rs 75 to Rs 3175 per quintal for the current season ending June. Presently Chickpea crop is in sprout development stage in the key producing states. Present cool weather condition is favourable for chick pea crop growth.
