In the prevailing weather conditions, incidence of Heliothis is observed on chickpea crop in key producing states of North India. Presently chickpea crop is in early growth stage. Chickpea is major rabi pulse crop. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, hiked the minimum support price (MSP) for chickpea by Rs 75 to Rs 3175 per quintal.
