Chickpea| Food Corporation of India was 60% short of its target

Food Corporation of India was 60% short of its target for pulses procurement from mandis, The Government had allowed FCI to commence procurement of Pulses from the mandis. The target fixed for Chana was 40,000 tonnes and Masoor was 10,000 tones and FCI could buy only 15,200 tonnes of Chana and 4335 tonnes of Masoor.
