Due to the occurrence of clouds, chickpea pod borer may occur in chickpea or chana crop in the key growing states of India. Area under sowing of chickpea or chana in India was down to 85.31 lakh hectares, against the last year’s figure of 100.51 lakh hectares, according to the recent data released by agriculture ministry.
