Chickpea or chana prices increased in major spot markets of North India on account of the good demand. Presently preparation activities are going on for chickpea or chana sowing in areas of Northern states of India. Chana or chickpea varieties are JAKI 9218, Vijay, Vishal, ICCV-2, ICCV-10, Gulak 1, PKV-Harita, PKV-Kabuli 2 and Kabuli 4.
