Chickpea is the major rabi pulse crop in the India. Presently chana or chickpea is in vegetative growth stage in the key producing states of India. Incidence of Heliothis pest is noticed in some area. Area coverage under Total Rabi Pulses in India is at 107.85 lakh hectares while the previous year’s sowing area coverage was 121.95 lakh hectares.
