At present chickpea or chana crop is in pod formation to development stage in the key producing states of Northern India. At this stage the incidence of gram pod borer is commonly observed in the fields. Farmers are advised to keep keen watch over the crops and adopt the integrated pest management (IPM) practices to manage this pest.
