According to the second Advance Estimates of Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, the production of chickpea or chana in India is estimated at 8.28 million tonnes during 2014-2015 year. Production of pulses in India is estimated at 18.43 million tonnes is lower by 1.35 million tonnes than the last year’s pulses production.
