According to the recent report of the Agriculture Ministry, chickpea or chana is cultivated in India on 8.2 million hectares, compared to 9.8 million hectares a year ago. Chickpea area were declined as compare to the last year. Chickpea futures prices were declined on account of the sluggish demand, said the traders.
