In ongoing Rabi season, Chana sowing is up by 2.7% to 66.33 lakh hectares on higher prices. Higher MSP (minimum support price) of Rs. 4000 per quintals including bonus has encouraged farmers to grow more Chana this year. Normal in season area of Chana is 88.37 lakh hectares in the country.
