Konkan is the major cashew producing region in the Maharashtra state. Agro-climatic condition of Konkan is favorable for the cashew cultivation. Prevailing partly cloudy weather condition in south Konkan is favorable for attack of tea mosquito bug, leaf miner, leaf cutting and eating beetles on new vegetative flush of cashew crop.
